Definition of Net
and others |
Net (network) – generic top-level domain (gTLD)
used on the Internet's Domain Name System. The net gTLD is currently
operated by VeriSign. Registrations are processed via accredited
registrars and internationalized domain names are also accepted.

Sangoma TCP/IP |
This tutorial is intended to supply enough information to set up a relatively
simple WAN or Internet-connected LAN
using Sangoma's Data Networking/Router Cards or other routers. Explanations of
IP addresses, classes, Netmask asks, subnetting, and routing are provided, and
several example networks are considered. Example address and routing
configurations are provided for running Sangoma's Router Cards under the
following protocol stacks and platforms: Unix and Linux, Microsoft
TCP/IP on Windows NT
Workstation/Server and Windows 95, and others. A basic explanation of IPX
routing is also included.

Lesson about TCP/IP |
A short IP subnetting tutorial. Subnetting is explained with examples. Post
assessment exercises after the course gives you hands on practice.By the end of
this subnetting course, you should be able to:
Define subnet and subnet masks
Understand IP subnetting maths
Calculate Network address
Define private address
Subnet an IP network in a given scenario

Lesson about
TCP/IP |
"With respect to most of the other Study Guides I have prepared, the guide for
TCP/IP is somewhat unique in that Microsoft lists fewer objectives for this
exam. Therefore, it is imperative to have an understanding of many concepts
pertaining to TCP/IP and Internetworking in general before proceeding in the
traditional format. This document will begin with somewhat of a "TCP/IP primer,"
before addressing the actual Study Guide."

TCP/IP
Primer |
This document is designed to give the reader a reasonable working knowledge of
TCP/IP subnetting, addressing, and routing. It is not intended to be complete,
or to cover all issues. This is targeted toward LAN administrators just moving
to TCP/IP, however it should help anyone who wants to know a little (more) about
how TCP/IP works. This document does not, generally, apply to dial-up SLIP/PPP
connections [..]
